This was an experiment with the bar size and the blade shape. It all started with a 50/20mm SCHKH 15 (52100) round bar. It was laying around and I just had to try and make something out of it. When I started forging, I had no idea what will happen. The shape came by itself.
As I said – I was experimenting and this is why I just had to taper the blade towards the tip and forge the bevels to 2mm thickness (was aiming for 1mm, but it is not a good idea to forge a blade this thin).
The blade is forged from SCHKH 15 (52100) steel tapered towards the tip, copper guard and stabilised wood handle.
